In case anybody would like to promote Nim by giving a talk on it at a conference in Paris. The call for proposals is open for the next 3 days:

https://polyconf.com/

I unfortunately will not be able to make it. But myself and @Araq can review/help out a little bit with slides if necessary.

We have some introduction talk already, so this time let it be specific. For instance, how to make a real-time system, or how to create a DSL in Nim.

(I also won't able to travel to Paris)

...For instance, how to make a real-time system...

I actually just gave a talk on Nim at NYC N-Lang, part of which was demoing a realtime embedded system on a microcontroller built entirely with Nim (no C bindings at all). Unfortunately, Paris is a bit outside my easy travel range though

@jeff_c Can you give us the link of the video of your talk? Is it recorded? 2017-03-16 22:07:48
I think it'll be up on YT at some point in the near future. The organizer is editing it together. 2017-03-16 22:12:20
@jeff_c Oh... what is YT? 2017-03-16 22:16:42
@Fungi YT = YouTube 2017-03-16 22:25:04
@jeff_c brilliant! Can't wait to see it. Be sure to post a link on the forum once it's live on YouTube
